Well, it is almost that time of the year. Time to ring out the old and welcome the new. Time to start fresh, to forget all the old woes and only look to the new experiences that lay ahead.

Resolutions, that word has always seemed so hard and fast to me. I make suggested goals. Most of mine deal with photography and growing my skills and trying my hand at making it a business. Of course there is always good health. Successful gardening. Always a goal as well. As is doing more cross stitch. A new goal for me is making a quilt and having the top finished before racing season starts in April.

What ever your goals (resolutions) are may you have success in achieving them!

Good bye 2009 and welcome 2010!

(this is me at a 24 hour race, this is what I look like after being awake for 28 hours.Yes, you are not seeing things, I do not use a monopod or tripod. I hand hold. That lens length is 760 mm)

Enjoy the day!

Thoughts

Monday, November 9th.

There is a blog that I read and infrequently post. It is run by a nice woman. Posted to it yesterday. Went to a quilting class and when I got back, it turned to by invitation only. I wrote the author and a 3 other people that read there and have not heard back from anyone. Wonder if this is another clique. Makes me sad.

Monday, October 19th

FINALLY the sun is shining here. I was beginning to think that the next time I would see it Spring would be here. In honor of the sun and Fall foliage, here is a photo from the tree in my front yard. Enjoy! Joanne

Sunday, October 18th

Stayed up late last night, alarm rang too early and it is under 45 degrees so the camera would not work properly. Not at the races today. It is back to cloudy and yucky looking outside. Here is a photo from my trip to Virginia International Raceway. This is from one of the early laps after the start. Average speed on any given lap is over 84 mph.

What this photo does not show is the three front runners. This guy was actually in 4th place, but due to over aggressive driving, "Kent" eventually won.

To the victor goes the spoils...

Have a great Sunday. Enjoy!

A peaceful photo for Sunday

This was actually taken during the heat of summer, deep in the woods, near a small town by me. How I love to walk in the woods with my camera. Enjoy!

So happy the early American government picked this instead of using Ben Franklin's suggestion of the turkey.

Saturday

Decided to try my hand at blogging. I think this may be a place for me to post a few photos and tell the story behind them. Who knows what this blog will turn out to really be, this could just be a place for fun shots.
