Yes, this is the same orchid that is the featured photo on my blog. I love how the purple and yellow are on this orchid. Try as I might, I cannot get an orchid to re-bloom. I follow all the "rules" and they do not re-bloom. Violets, on the other hand, are easy for me to re-bloom. I guess the only way I will see orchids in bloom is to keep going to Orchid shows and doing photography. Lucky for me, there are 2 shows in the Cleveland area in March.
I love orchids, they are such fragile looking flowers. One of the ladies I occasionally work for has several orchids in her house. I do not know if they re-bloom, or if she replaces them. I will have to ask her.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful orchids. My Dad is an orchid grower. He owned an Orchid Nursery before he retired - he still has a full shed out the back.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful orchids. I will have to try and find some to photograph here in Utah. I can not wait for spring to arrive. I like to shot flowers also. Thanks for sharing and the inspiration.
