From the Grand Am - Daytona Prototypes
Going into a long stretch of racing photography. 9 straight weeks, traveling from Nelson Ledges, to Mid Ohio to Schenley Park in Pittsburgh. Alot of miles on the car, the camera and me. Add starting a new job on July 12th and my life is a tad busy right now. No stitching has been done and I do not see a time in the near future when I can sit and stitch. Right now I am 2 races behind on getting the photos on Zenfolio and this weekend's race is the Vintage event at Mid Ohio, so I know I will go crazy goofy with snapping photos. Some of these cars are rare and just a few models still exist. Why they chance it and put them on the track is beyond my realm of thinking.
The bunny destroyed the bean patch so it is now replanted and chicken wired fenced off. Adding a chicken wire fence to the carrot patch and the peppers patch. The raspberry and blackberry bushes are covered in bridal netting so keep the bugs, birds, squirrels and bunnies away from the fruit.
The lavender is blooming and needs to be harvested and hung up to dry. ALL my plants survived and it is a bumper crop this year!
The Fairy - 7 Sisters Rose Bush
Back in the day, this was known as 7 sisters rose bush. Now it is called The Fairy. There is another bush growing to the right and together they span 12 feet! Mom and I are growing this bush in memory of her mother who had one when Mom was a little girl.
Dad's Memory Garden
This is the beginning of the memory garden for my Dad. A NAVY man until the day he died, I planted a true blue Larkspur and Snowdrops. To the right of the anchor is 1 plant a 'Blue Angels' Salvia. Blue Lobelia is in the foreground. The top of the wind chime is a Blue Angel (not the plane). To the left of this garden is the red rose bush 'Chrysler Imperial' and to the right is Dad's favorite Rose, 'Angel Face'. I hope to expand this garden in the coming years to highlight blue and yellow, the colors of NAVY.
Have a great weekend!
